Reading in the Quick Thinkers

Reading is the heart of our Year 1 Classroom. Each child has their own reading bag with 3 books for them to enjoy at home.

1. Their Ditty book linked to the sounds they know in Read Write Inc.

2. Their stage book to improve their speed and fluency.

3. Their Reading for Pleasure book to encourage the enjoyment of reading at home.

Please make sure you listen to your child read this is so important to their development.

Home Learning

If your child is unable to attend school due to isolation work will be set for them in line with the work completed in school.

You can send your child's work straight to Mr Nice via our bubble email This might be just a quick photograph of them working or the page they have written on.
